My expectations were exceeded and then some!

I had been somewhat reluctant to make a major purchase on something like this pergola due to bad experiences I have had with nearly every major purchase I’ve made since the beginning of Covid-19 (non-Wayfair purchases).

After seeing positive reviews, and having a generally positive opinion of Wayfair, I decided to go for it.

I’m glad I did. The pergola was delivered, undamaged, by an exceptionally professional delivery partner and none of the 5 boxes were damaged.

Some reviews for this product suggest paying for professional assembly. To be clear- it’s a project to put this pergola together. It’s not “hard” but its tedious. The 36 louvres require installation of a few pieces / parts each and it will take some time. That said, I absolutely love building things. I put the pergola together almost entirely myself over two ~3 hour morning work sessions. I enlisted the help of my father for one step (raising the two sides, then attaching the horizontal beams connecting the two sides). Your mileage may vary. A third person will likely be needed if you don’t have something to lean the pergola sides against while you’re assembling things.

The instructions are sparse (NO words), but clear. If you enjoy putting “Nordic” furniture together (I do… I know, weird), you will have zero issue with assembling this pergola assuming you have one or two helpers for key steps. If the idea of putting together a TV stand makes you sweat, definitely go for the professional assembly.

The quality of the pergola surpasses the price, in my opinion. Time with tell if it holds up under the sun and Pennsylvania winters, but I see nothing to suggest that it won’t. It’s very beautiful and does not offend my neighbor who seems to be annoyed by anything I do to my property. The louvres can be opened and closed smoothly and easily and the black finish (in my case) on the aluminum seems durable. The pergola comes with anchors which can be used to secure this pergola to concrete / brick / masonry. I installed this pergola over a Trex deck so I procured my own fasteners which tie the pergola down to the framing below the deck. Keep this in mind if you’re installing on a non-masonry substrate.

If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. I’m glad I did.

Very happy with this 10ft x 20ft aluminum pergola. It took 9hrs for memy husband to build together. The instructions have no descriptions, only pictures but it was easy to follow. The only thing left to do is to anchor it and it comes with all the anchors so that’s a win !

Excellent quality of material and great color! We actually got two of these and put them side by side. We just built a patio and even the guys we paid to put them together were asking us where we got them from. Still breaking them in, but so far they have exceeded expectations.

Very impressed with this purchase. Everything was well packaged and protected with no marks or scratches from shipping which is very common with metal items i have ordered lately. Assembly instructions were easy enough to follow and the online video filled in any gaps. All in took me about 7-8 hours alone with help from my 12 year old son for just the part of standing the frame up. The open and closing mechanism is very smooth. Very happy with this purchase, was a perfect addition to our backyard.

Love the louvered pergola! Some parts are timely during assembly such as the louvers. I am female and assembled it by myself mostly. I did have to have help standing the main posts and attaching the tops rails until to make it stable for me to anchor it down. They are heavy and if they fall there will be damage to your house :). I could not use the expansion anchors provided because I attached it to my deck. The anchors they provide are probably good for thick concrete. I anchored after all frame pieces were standing. So instead I got large lag bolts that worked perfect 1/2″ x 3″. I will find out how this holds up on the next wind storm..I did double block where I put the anchors for extra support.

Amazing pergola! My wife and I assembled this over the weekend. Took about 6 hours or so. Directions were easy. The quality is top notch and the ability to have shade or sun is what sold us. Would highly recommend over a solid roof pergola.

Really love this pergola! It was shipped in 5 boxes. My husband and I were able to move 4 of them to the backyard but had to unpack the biggest box and carry pieces back individually. Assembly wasn’t too horrible, our biggest issue was figuring out how to attach the louver arms to get them working properly. It was somewhat tedious but we finished it in 2 days of sporadic work. Pergola seems pretty high quality and worth the price.

    Honestly it exceeded my expectations.
Let’s start off with saying you can screw it to the concrete and it has a cover so you don’t see the screws. The the roof you can open half of it if you’d like. It’s sturdy, great quality, modern. I would say buy it if you’re thinking of it. In my opinion I’m in love
