The Bistro String Light Poles are made from steel with a durable black powder-coat finish that adds a professional and elegant look to your outdoor space. Enhance the ambiance of your patio. Each pole extends to 10 feet tall and includes clips to keep your favorite string lights hanging securely above. Two bases are included for each pole; a flat base with 3 pre-drilled screw holes for hard surfaces such as concrete or wood, and a 10-inch yard stake base for softer surfaces such as grass or dirt. Bring the professional quality of commercial-grade lighting poles to your backyard or business year-round, without the fuss of flimsy poles or messy four-pronged stakes.

Poles work great but if you put them in the ground, they will move. We are going to drive the PVC pipe into the ground and then put the poles in the PVC piping.These poles come with an option to screw into concrete but I opted not to drive into the concrete. We have them around our pool and we LOVE them so much that I just purchased 8 more poles.

Very nice, sturdy poles that can be drilled into a deck. I used them without one of the sections for the 66 height, which was plenty for my purposes. They serve double duty as light poles and (with some drill holes) supporting poles for a wire string trellis.
