This light fixture is absolutely gorgeous and well made and I would have kept it had I not forgotten about how small the mounting backing was on my house(see overlap on picture). I would have replaced it with a larger backing but it was gluedcaulked on there very thoroughly and I decided it wasn’t worth it. The light fixture was easy to install and I had never installed a light fixture before. Everything was very solid and looked like it would last a long time. For the light I used a filament style LED light bulb which gave a great homey look. The light itself has some interesting settings and options and they are hidden in dials and buttons behind the motion detector area—you turn it around to reveal a secret control panel. I was hoping for a setting where it could basically be “off” but only come on off motion was detected. It does have motion detection but it’s only available with options where it’s going from low dim setting (no motion detected) to high (motion detected). You can adjust the dimness settings for the “low” setting and make the “low” appear like it’s almost off though.There is also a setting for motion detection sensitivity, and dusk to dawn, and choosing how long the light stays on when motion is detected. Overall I loved this light fixture but I decided to return it for one that fit my mounting backing.
