My boys use these nets for catching and releasing critters at rivers, lakes, and ponds. By far, they have held up better than any other net I’ve bought. There is a plastic protector over the end of the net so you don’t have as many rips. Sometimes that starts to come off, but it is easy to press back on. Due to the very heavy use my boys put these through, the netting material has ripped, and I have sewn with heavy duty thread. Also, when extended all the way, the pole becomes more bendable such that the pipe could bend in half if you aren’t careful.Our kids have found they can’t extend it too far or it bends, particularly with their heavy use. If that happens, we take a hammer to bend back so we can shorten the net pole, and they use it non-extended. We have bought 6 of these so far, and if any other nets break, I don’t waste my time buying other types because my kids like these the best. They are also very lightweight for them to carry around.
