I used this slide as my focal point for my grand daughter’s castle bed. It was easy to assemble and attach to the castle. I used it for an inside application instead of outside. She just loves getting out of bed in the morning.

Slide works as purchased. I installed it on a 5 foot platform and it is really fast for the kids which is cool with me. A few notes on installation, the screws that come with it are only an inch long. I would use longer to attached the slide to the platform. In addition, the middle support needs to be buried 12 inches and a front support needs to be buried 2 inches below grade to a depth of 18 inches. Make sure you are where you can dig and you do not have any sprinkler lines in the way. You will also need a 1/2 inch wrench and socket to put the two halves together.

After reading other reviews, I anticipated assembly of slide to be a pain.It was not.Included screws for joining two halves were long enough.I just had to be a bit patient.Written instructions were clear and sufficient.I did use a longer screw to attach the bottom of the slide to the sunken anchor, but it would not have been necessary.
The slide looks great, and it is a nice addition to our elevated playhouse.My daughter loves it!
It appears durable.The 250lb capacity must be for several small children; the width of the slide precludes it’s comfortable use by any adults I know.
The slide is FAST.The curve is sufficiently banked for safety, but plan to have a good sized landing area.

We bought the sidewinder slide to install it on a playset that we designed for our grandchildren ages 3 and 1.. At first we were afraid it might be to fast for them but they love it (of course the 1 year old has to have someone holding on to him when he slides).It was easy to install but my husband is very handy, so I am not sure how someone with no carpenter skills woiuld find it, as you do have to build a support/leg for the slide that is installed approximately at the curve.Wayfair had the best price I found.We are very happy with slide so far.
