We, unfortunately,had to have a tree cut down last year and that eliminated all the shade on that side of our house. It got considerably warmer in the house in the afternoon when the sun was on that side of the house. These awnings took care of this problem 100%!! We couldn’t be happier! I thought they were well constructed, attractive, and my handy man said they were easy to install.I also love the retractable feature. I usually roll them up before any thunderstorms to ensure they don’t get damaged. However,one day I was away from my house much longer than anticipated and a violent storm came through my area and I was sure the awnings would be hanging off the house or torn off altogether. I arrived home to find neither had happened.They were completely intact and holding strong through 30mph winds! I was impressed!After I get the house painted,I’m going to buy 2 more for the front of the house.
