Ok wellll… I’ve had this swing in my covered porch now for less than a month and I’m sad to report I’ve sat in it once and the wood is already lifting and pealing!? For the price I paid it at least should last a year! Not happy I can’t believe it’s pealing! It is covered does not get wet, I’m pretty wise when it comes to wood and this is very poor stock.Disappointed now I’ll have to sand it down and stain and weather it.That’s not why I bought it- should have made it myself out of 1 x 3 at least it would have been real pine!

This swing is made of solid cedar, easy instructions to follow in assembling, quality product and enjoying the look of it and the comfort of it!!This is the finished look after applying a coat of Helman Spar Urethane clear semigloss to protect the wood and preserve the swing’s longevity even though it is cedar. Climate here is cold in the winter but you do not need to do it. I do it because of where we live as an extra precaution.Love the look, love the comfort, love the price!!

LOVE this swing. It was kind of a pain putting it together, but it’s a beautiful natural cedar and study enough for me and my 230 lb husband. I ordered some cup holders to attach as well. Definitely a good purchase! the black chains that came with it look great too
