Description
An easy-to-grow houseplant that shows rich green fronds and adds instant tropical elegance and beauty to any room. Cat palm is native to southeastern Mexico, but it will grow indoors in your home when placed in bright, indirect light. It is shipped in a decorative pot and is an ideal houseplant for any home, apartment, or office. Its lush form and green fronds make this houseplant a great gift. Nasa’s clean air study concluded that houseplants, such as cat palms, promote better air quality in your home. The study by NASA found that houseplants actively remove chemical pollutants from the air. All plants help purify the air by removing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Grow cat palm in indirect bright light. Don’t place cat palms in direct sunlight. It likes to be watered regularly to have moist, but not soggy soil all the time. It also likes humidity, boost humidity by placing it in humid rooms, placing a small humidifier nearby, or grouping it near other plants. Fertilize the cat palms a few times a year, in spring and summer, to keep them healthy. Use a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for houseplant use. Follow the directions on the fertilizer packaging. Re-pot your palm when it becomes root-bound. A well-draining potting soil mixture is recommended when re-potting. In summer, it can be grown outdoors in a high light (but not full sun) location. Bring plants inside before frost. I might be the laziest person in the world BUT these plants are awesome!!!It’s nice to get something this big delivered right to your door.I took two pics because the white pot is not included but they DO include a plastic lined basket that prevents dirt and water from leaking out.They also wrap these really tight, packaging for transport is very well done, no damage to plants upon opening.

WOW WOW WOW!! Better than I expected! My tree was very full and lush upon opening the very nicely packaged box. I did consider others’ recommendations and opened it outside. Pretty plant! Looks to be very healthy as well…was excited to find when I got it out of the packaging that it was even taller than the description online(about 47” tall and 30” wide once palm fronds fall into normal position! I was slightly bummed that it came in a black plastic container instead of the sea grass basket that had been advertised. Love my plant!! Update- it’s been a couple of months and my plant looks really good, it’s even got a couple areas of new growth! Still happy!!
