The stainless steel burner is covered in earth-toned lava rocks ( included) and surrounded by a Wicker coated metal table with the appearance of a wicker finish, which is also resistant to heat and fire. The adjustable fire starter knob is conveniently located externally and varies in settings from a mellow low to fierce and hot high Setting. It leaves no ash mess to clean up and emits no smoke.

Looks and performs as expected! Assembly was straightforward and easy. Only used about half the included lava rocks because they said not to cover the burner and using any more would have not allowed me to put the lid on. Perfect smaller size for my arrangement in a 10×10 gazebo — love the lower coffee table height and lid. Purchased a tank hideaway to place beside my couch as a side table. Igniter worked first try following the instructions. Flames were bigger than expected and gave lots of heat. Low was higher than I’d like but can manage that by closing the tank valve part way. After first use the burner was discoloured and some rocks had burn marks, but being my first fire table this may be normal. Looking forward to getting lots of use out of this functional and stylish table!

Beautiful piece. Perfect height to serve as a true outdoor coffee table. Love that the cover, rocks, and lid are all included. Did not realize until reading instructions that the propane tank does not sit under the table, rather sits off to the side, which is really the only downside.. But I guess that may be just part of the trade-off for having a low coffee table height piece.

Electric starter has yet to work, so I use a butane lighter thing. You have to hold in the gas knob as you turn it and keep holding it until it reaches a temperature where it will stay on by itself ( maybe 60 seconds) I wish that it had a little glass windscreen to protect the flames., but it puts out a fair bit of heat.
