The last 2 canopies I purchased blew away in high winds even after placing the legs in pots full of sand and the metal bent beyond further use. This canopy has around 3″ dia posts. I put metal mesh, a layer of wood with holes for draining and another metal mesh and stuck the round foot up through those layers of wood and metal and filled the buckets (square pots) full of marble stones. During 2 days of high winds the posts didn’t budge and the fabric didn’t rip. Very sturdy and beautiful – I love it.

This is a great Gazebo. We’ve had it up about a month now, several storms have come through, rain, and even one with light hail. It’s held up great. We anchored it to the concrete so it will not fly away, and we keep the flaps tied down when not in use. Ohio weather can get windy, and it has been fine.
I have used the solid side walls much more than I thought I would, they are great to block the sun, or stop wind coming in from one side. AND for privacy (we’re on a corner lot). The first two photos are the weekend we put it up, the last two are a month later. We’ve added a sofa.

I absolutely love this gazebo! It is perfect for us and very roomy. Got the rope solar lights and colorful patio furniture,it is my little piece of heaven.I wanted it for Mother’s Day and it came just in time, I had to get a tarp to cover the soft top because of a storm we had, the gazebo is not waterproof but I knew that before I bought it. The tarp works great and no water is getting in through the roof, we’re expecting more rain here in Texas for the next few days but I’m still enjoying the gazebo since I got the tarp. Good construction and extremely sturdy steel frame. I love how the mosquito netting and outside cover tuck under the tent so that there are no gaps between the roof and the curtains for bugs to enter. I live in northern New Jersey and we just hadtwo days of heavy, windy rainfall. The gazebo did not budge. It has nice solid 8 inch steel posts. Assembly took my 15-year-old son about four hours. My only concern is that the pop up vent does not have mosquito netting and now I will have to buy 2 yards of netting and adhere withVelcro strips.
