I needed a hay storage building, but I live in a flood zone. Putting up a permanent building would have been a legal nightmare. This building solved the whole problem and easily stores a hundred balesof hay, with room left over for other equine necessities.
Pros: Easy to erect, lots of room.

I purchase this very building a year ago in August of 2021. I needed an affordable but stellar shelter to house a 16.1 h Saddlebred horse, a 13.2 h Hackney ponyand a large Oberhasli goat . Each needed their personal space. I needed the size and height. First, the area in which it was installed has no protection against heavy winds. I live in zone 5 with full sun on the building along with heavy wind, rain, snow and ice. In other words, big weather all the elements. This is enough to challenge any structure.I started by having a company put down a surpac foundation beyond the size of the building by 2 feet along the entire perimeter Then we made sure it was level. I cut in a small drainage swale drain for water coming off the building to run away from the floor bed. I then installed heavy stall rubber mats for the flooring. I hired a professional to build the structure and install it. We then used the anchors in the kit along with cut T bar which we pounded deeply into the ground and with cables double anchored the feet at every point.I used 2 x 6 boards around the inside of the parameterto keep the bedding in the building so it would not sift out. The last thing was to line 3/4 of the interior with my gates to help protect the actual buildings skin.True to New England Weather, this building withstood all the elements of heavy wind, lots of ice, melting, snow and heating through the day, and it never faltered. It took the snow load well with the peak shedding the snow so it did not build up. This is where the swale drainage worked well, no water inside. Because of the height it did not accumulate condensation. Recently we even had a tornadic cell come over the property. It did not touch down here but just a few miles away. Nontheless there was hail, strong wind and sheets of rain. All is fine. The only negative I have is that the back flap does not have a zipper so I cannot open the back for full ventilation for the summer. If you build it right, it will have good performance. This is my third building and my largest. I have two others, one that houses hay and one for supplies. The other two are 5+ years old and still going strong. It sounds like a lot of prep, but I am asking a lot from this building and it has been worth all the effort and investment especially when there is tight budget.
The ugly box in the photo is my charger.

This is the greatest garage and just what we needed. It has stood the test of time so far with high winds and snow. It is great that we don’t have to clean the snow and ice off it when ever we want to go some place. Glad we got it. The man who put it up for us said it was the best garage he has ever put up.
