Description
Instructions: remove the heat mat from the plastic bag and dispose of it properly. Place your heat mat away from water and keep it out of direct sunlight. For better efficiency, avoid cold surfaces and place the heat mat in an insulated place. Place a propagation tray or other plant container on the heat mat. Cover your plant tray with a humidity dome to help seeds germinate faster. Plug the heat mat’s electrical cord into a standard 120-volt power source. It warms the root area 10-20 ℉ over ambient temperature to improve seed germination.
Warnings: do not place the mat inside the tray or cover it directly with soi. Do not place the heat mat on rough or pointed surfaces, as this action can damage the mat. Do not place the heat mat on or under any other heating, warming, or insulating device. Do not allow the heat mat to become submerged in water or any other liquid.
Features
It automatically heats the rooting area to 10-20f higher than the ambient temperature, but it will not overheat.

So far so good! Started basil and lettuce microgreens on these, and both came up nicely within a couple of days. Have kept the basil on there, and it seems to really thrive with the warmth.

These mats are great and easy to use. I was concerned they would get too hot it they haven’t. The instructions say to not put them on metal or glass so I have them on a plastic storage shelf which seems to be working good.
