I installed them yesterday and it was pretty easy as I only had to push them into the soil. However, I was surprised to read they should be removed before winter to prevent damage. I’d planned to leave them over the winter as I’ve put two Clematis plants in front of them with the hope they’ll thrive. I have other trellises in my gardens and leave them over the winter with no problems; one is metal and the other two are bamboo and wood; I never take them out. They’re against a brick wall.
