    I think it will work fine.I have black wrought iron surrounding my balcony and 2nd floor patio and my little chihuahua could have squeezed through the posts. I wrapped this fencing every two posts in and out and it seems like it will easily protect her from getting excited and jumping through the wrought iron fence. I just need to find a way to secure both ends and we will be all set. It looks very nice also.
